Theme: “The fragility of man living outside the precepts of God»
Text: Psalms 49:1-14
1. Of the sons of Korah. Psalm. 2. Hear this, all you peoples, Give ear, all you inhabitants of the world, [……] 5. Why should I fear in days of calamity, When the iniquity of my adversaries envelops me? 6. They trust in their possessions, And boast of their great wealth. 7. They cannot redeem each other, Nor give God the price of redemption. 8. The redemption of their souls is dear, And will never take place; 9. They will not live forever, They will not avoid the sight of the pit. 10. For they will see it: the wise die, The foolish and the stupid also perish, And they leave their possessions to others. 11. They imagine that their homes will be eternal, That their dwellings will endure from age to age, They whose names are honored on earth. 12. But the man who is in honor does not last, He is like the beasts that are slaughtered. 13. Such is their way, their madness, And those who follow them delight in their speeches. Pause. 14. Like a flock they are brought into Hades, Death feeds them; And soon the upright men trample them under foot, Their beauty vanishes, Hades is their home.
Let's remember:
Even before his death, the loss of man living outside the precepts of God is already resolved. Far from the precepts of God, there is only destruction and nothing else. Satan's plan is to bail out hell with upright men so that it does not perish alone. It is time to choose God and serve Him in order to shelter ourselves from judgment, from hell. God knocks at the door of every person's heart. The one who hears God's call and opens her heart to Him, God will enter her home and install his precepts in her life. This person and his family will be assured of their salvation; as it is written: ''Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household''. Man living outside the precepts of God is very fragile and lacks stable foundations for his life. His sad fate is already sealed. We recognize him in that he puts his trust in his riches. He imagines that his riches will be eternal; now, it is like straw that the wind blows away. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
