Theme: “The crucifixion is a source of glorification of the Lord Jesus“
Text: Mark 14:1-2
1. The Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread was to take place two days later. The chief priests and scribes were looking for ways to arrest Jesus by trickery and put him to death. 2. For they said, Let it not be during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.
Let's remember:
It is sad to see a people chosen by God for salvation, but who remain blind to the accomplishment of such a marvel. Although part of the plan of glorification of Jesus, the behavior of the Pharisees and scribes should not characterize us. However, it is important to know that these same Pharisees and scribes, by seeking ways to arrest Jesus by trickery and put him to death, fully entered into the plan of glorification of Jesus Christ, planned by the Father. If they had waited to do so in the middle of the party, the people would have risen and there would have been a spectacular sedition, there would have been a popular revolt. The people would not have accepted that Jesus was crucified. This is the reason why the trap was set before the Passover feast, to prevent the people from opposing the arrest of Christ. This should cancel the plan of glorification that was planned at the cross, it should ultimately benefit the devil. But our God never fails, his plan always succeeds. There had been no uproar, no revolt in the midst of the people so that the cross was the source of glorification of the Lord Jesus. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
