The Church's Numerical Growth

Friday March 3, 2023

Theme: “The Church's Numerical Growth» Text: Genesis 22:15-18

15. The angel of the LORD called Abraham a second time from heaven, 16. and said, I swear by myself, word of the LORD! because you have done this, and have not refused your only son, 17. I will bless you and multiply your seed, like the stars of the sky and like the sand that is on the seashore; and your seed will possess the gate of their enemies. 18. All the nations of the earth will be blessed in your seed, because you have obeyed my voice.

Let's remember:

On this promise that God made to Abraham, let us find a sure support with Him so that our posterity may be forever blessed. One thing is certain, the faith of a single person can bring blessing to a whole descendant if not to the whole Church. If by the work of the cross accomplished by Jesus Christ, his body, the Church that we are has been blessed and even saved; believe it, by our faith and sanctification, we will bless and grow the Church. May each member of the body of Christ be like a grain planted on fertile ground and bear fruit a hundredfold. This will be a substantial contribution to the numerical growth of the Church. Let us draw from the model of Abraham, an example of probity and obedience which would bring many blessings within the Church body of Christ. When God feels honoured, he always releases a blessing that runs through ages, times and therefore generations. Nowadays, it is still possible to sow one's faith for the benefit of the multitude. It is still possible to invest one's faith in the quantitative and qualitative growth of the people of God committed to his cause. While we work for quantitative growth, let us not neglect qualitative growth which leads to eternal life. The numerical growth makes it possible to mobilize a large crowd in the service of God, for a massive salvation and also to depopulate the hell that Satan wants to fill. He does not want to perish alone with his angels, he wants to “overpopulate” his camp. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
