Theme: “The Church's Numerical Growth“
Text: Luke 8:6-8
6. Another part fell on the rock: when it was raised, it dried up, because it had no moisture. 7. Another part fell among the thorns: the thorns grew with it, and choked it. 8. Another part fell in the good ground: when it was lifted, it gave fruit a hundredfold. Having thus spoken, Jesus said aloud: He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Let's remember:
Some attitudes that we cherish are harmful to the growth of the Church. Anything that stifles the development of our neighbor must be banned so that it grows in stature, in grace, in knowledge, in wisdom, in short, that it grows in all directions. Let's help our neighbor to drink, to quench his thirst, to irrigate himself so that he does not lack resources for his growth. Every member of the Church should be given the opportunity to grow peacefully despite the attacks of the wicked. Since we have the responsibility to sow on good land, then ourselves, let us be a good and fertile land that can receive a seed and make it germinate without incident knowing that God is the best fertilizer capable to better grow a seed. The numerical growth of the Church depends on the spiritual quality of each member of the Church. If those who work for the growth of the Church are not welcoming and born again (good fertile ground), then the numerical growth will not take off; except upon divine intervention as in Acts 2:47b "And the Lord added daily to the church those who were being saved." Let's protect the good lands that will welcome future converts, let's not pollute them but let's keep them arable. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
