The Church's Numerical Growth

Wednesday March 1, 2023

Theme: “The Church's Numerical Growth Text: 2 Peter 3:9

9. The Lord is not slow in fulfilling the promise, as some believe; but he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Let's remember:

The key word in this text is patience. God is patient with us, he does not follow us with a whip like a policeman would do to convert us by force. He leaves us free will in spite of a few cases which are the exception to the rule; such as the conversion of Saul to Paul, and even the conversion of Saul (1 Samuel 10:9). To achieve numerical growth, we must leave the calendar, the agenda of conversion, to God. God does not delay in accomplishing things but he does it in his time and according to his will, in accordance with his divine agenda. Nothing and no one can rush God's calendar. Those who dare to step into this field end up creating miracles for themselves without God, they do do-it-yourself to please men and make money. For us, let's be patient and wait for God to knock on the door of the hearts of those who receive the Word that is being preached. If things don't happen according to God's timing, we will have unconverted crowds, numerical growth will be a decoy, a failure. Next, let's know that a person won to Christ is not necessarily set free or converted on the first day. Let God plow his heart and plant the fruit of the Spirit there so that the person takes the right form; still patience. Let us pray a lot for those who are slow to enter the ranks of the faith. Excellent Wednesday of patience. Amen Alain Louz.-
