The Church's Numerical Growth

Monday February 27, 2023

Theme: “The Church's Numerical Growth Text: Acts 16:1-5

1. He then went to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, there was a disciple there named Timothy, the son of a faithful Jewish wife and a Greek father. 2. The brothers of Lystre and Icone bore good testimony of him. 3. Paul wanted to take her with him; and having taken him, he circumcised him, because of the Jews who were in those places, for all knew that his father was a Greek. 4. Passing through the cities, they recommended the brethren to observe the decisions of the apostles and elders of Jerusalem. 5. The churches grew stronger in faith, and increased in number day by day.

Let's remember:

By speaking of growth, we refer to development or increase or evolution. Numerical growth is the evolution evaluated in numbers, in quantitative figures, it is an evolutionary increase in human resources within a target population. The Church must spread in order to return to the right path imposed by the master Jesus Christ when he said in Matthew 28: 19. "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Holy Spirit, 20. and teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the world”. It is necessary that the human agrees to deploy so that this instruction leads to the numerical growth. It also takes Christians who have a good testimony like Timothy because how can you evangelize if you don't live, yourself, what you preach? However, good conduct involves good testimony; it is in itself, an evangelization because the good behavior is a bait which supports the bringing together with the pagans. Good behavior is an act of evangelism. Numerical growth is dependent upon our good conduct, good testimony, and our ability to seek out the heathen scattered throughout the world as Paul did. Excellent Monday. Alain Louz.-
