Theme: “The Church: Family of God's Children»
Text: Colossians 1:15-22
15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16. For in him were created all things that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, thrones, dignities, dominions, authorities. All was created by him and for him. 17. He is before all things, and all things subsist in him. 18. He is the head of the body of the Church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, in order to be the first in everything. 19. For God willed that all fullness should dwell in him; 20. He willed through him to reconcile everything to himself, both what is on earth and what is in heaven, making peace through him, through the blood of his cross. 21. And you, who were once strangers and enemies in your thoughts and in your evil works, he has now reconciled you by his death in the body of his flesh, 22. to make you appear before him holy, blameless and blameless,
Let's remember:
Someone gave up everything to come and accelerate the reconciliation of the Creator with his creatures that we are. He stripped himself of his glory to come and take on the sin and ignominy of all mankind. All this weight, Jesus supported it so that God looks at us with satisfaction. Jesus the eldest son of God brought us back to the sheepfold, we who were outside the family enclosure; exposed to all the dangers of nature. Christ brought us back to the Father so that we could become part of the family of God's children. Exodus 33:20 says no one can see God and live; but for the good of the children of the family, God allowed himself to be visibly discovered in Jesus who is the image of the invisible God. And he who has seen him has seen the Father: let us be reconciled with God and remain within the Church, the family of God's children. Christ, the head of the family is holy, the body that we are must also be because there is an inseparable and indissoluble bond. Let us be polite enough not to bring misconduct within the family already reconciled with God, at the risk of creating a rupture in the covenant. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
