Theme: “The Church: Family of God's Children»
Text: Ephesians 2:10-14
10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should do them. 11. Wherefore, ye formerly heathen in the flesh, called uncircumcised by those who are called circumcised, and who are so in the flesh by the hand of man, 12. remember that ye were at that time- there without Christ, disenfranchised in Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13. But now, in Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14. For he is our peace, he who has made one of the two, and who has broken down the wall of separation, enmity,
Remember:
We were recreated in Jesus to undergo a rebirth that removed our Adamic nature. The new person we become in Christ is the symbol of regeneration. Our genes formerly linked to sin are therefore now linked to Christ to produce good works through faith. Sanctification has been inscribed on our DNA as children of God: what makes us new creatures. The corruption of the flesh from the Old Man no longer has an impact, we become free in Jesus. Before Jesus came to redeem us and make us members of the family of the children of God, we were fallen, uncircumcised, without citizenship, stateless, fit for hell. Now that Christ has brought us into the Church, we become his family, endowed with all our rights and privileges. Even in the family temple of God, we can now access the holy of holies when we had no right to do so. God has torn the veil that kept us away from his presence. Our human heredity has been replaced by divine heredity. Excellent Wednesday in the Church. Amen Alain Louz.-
