The Church, a pluralistic but also supportive community

Saturday April 29, 2023

Theme: "The Church, a pluralistic but also supportive community" Text: Revelation 7:9-17

9. After this I looked, and behold, there was a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation, tribe, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the lamb, dressed in white robes, and palms in their hands. 10. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation is to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. 11. And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures; and they bowed down on their faces before the throne, and worshiped God, 12. saying, Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength, be to our God forever and ever! Amen! 13. And one of the elders answered and said unto me, Those who are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and whence did they come? 14. I say to him: My lord, you know it. And he said unto me, These are they that come out of the great tribulation; they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the lamb. 15. This is why they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will pitch his tent over them; 16. They shall hunger no more, they shall thirst no more, neither shall the sun strike them, nor any heat. 17. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them and lead them to springs of the waters of life, and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Let's remember:

During our stay on this earth, each person carries out his activities according to the ways of his heart and according to the grace received from God. We are many Christians, from every nation, from every tribe, from every people, and from every language. Even though we are scattered around the world, but we are all heading in the same direction. We are on the way to the eternal city, to the kingdom of God. Everyone goes there at their own pace and according to their apprehensions, but we all converge on the same destination. We are a pluralistic community and we have one and the same Father, we have the same Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the same Holy Spirit leads us, we have received the same baptism. Likewise, we will be saved by the same God, we will go to the same eternal city, and we will all stand before the same God and before the lamb. If we are all doomed to the same fate, why not show solidarity with each other? Why not experience this fusion of faith and joy in Christ? Why look at yourself like a faience dog? Why tear with each other? Why the splits? When we are before God, we will all be transformed, we will have the same nature. There will be no more blacks, there will be no more whites, there will be no more gender differences, our differences will disappear. We will all have celestial nationality. We will have the same joy of being before the King who lives forever and ever. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
