Theme: "The Church, a pluralistic but also supportive community"
Text: Acts 4:34-37
34. For there was none among them needy: all that had fields or houses sold them, brought the price of what they had sold, 35. and laid it at the feet of the apostles; and distributions were made to each according to his need. 36. Joseph, surnamed by the apostles Barnabas, which means son of exhortation, a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37. sold a field which he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
Let's remember:
When the grace of God grants us to have many goods, let us remove greed and put these goods for the benefit of others, so that the needy can live in a dignified way. Many of us survive; they have no resources capable of supporting them. Let us be the source of supply for our neighbour. Let's give to others what can make them smile with joy. It is not good to give away superfluous or nearly wasted or expired products. The church is a pluralistic community because it contains both haves and have-nots. This is also the variety and the difference. To better anchor ourselves to the will of God on good neighborliness and love of neighbor, let us be in solidarity with each other. Let us be full of affection and compassion for those around us. If God blesses us, it is so that we share our blessing with others. The church must be in solidarity with hospitals, orphanages, centers for the elderly. The church must be in solidarity with widows and widowers. It must be in solidarity with its employees pastors, evangelists, lay personnel. The best way to show solidarity is to create foundations and other sources of sustainable income capable of meeting the needs of the poor. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
