Theme: “The Christian, model of maturity in society”
Text: Ephesians 4:11-15
11. And he gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12. for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body. of Christ, 13. until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to the state of manhood, to the measure of the full stature of Christ, 14 . that we may no longer be children, floating and carried away by every wind of doctrine, by the deception of men, by their cunning in the means of seduction, 15. but that, professing the truth in love, we may increase to all. respect in him who is the head, Christ.
Let's remember:
It is for the edification of the body of Christ that the ministers of God labor. They have the duty to teach the faithful to help them reach maturity. The world is filled with false doctrines that demote God’s people. The devil works hard to entertain God's redeemed. This is why every child of God must be on guard so as not to fall into his trap. Let us eagerly accept and put into practice the truth that is in Jesus. Let us put off the old man who is corrupted by deceitful lusts. Let us be new creatures, let us put on the new man, created according to God in a righteousness and holiness produced by the truth. Let us renounce lies, and let each of us speak the truth to his neighbor; for we are members of one another. Maturity consists of coming to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to the state of a mature man, to the measure of the perfect stature of Christ. Maturity is loving God with all our heart and yielding our lives to Him. Maturity means closing one's ears to the deceptive doctrines of men, through their cunning in the means of seduction. Maturity is professing the truth in charity, it is growing in all respects in Christ. Excellent Sunday. Amen
