Theme: “The Christian, model of maturity in society”
Text: Philippians 3:15-17
15. We therefore all who are perfect, let us have this same mind; and if you are of any other opinion, God will also enlighten you on this point. 16. Only, at the point where we have reached, let us walk with one step. 17. Be imitators of me, brothers, and pay attention to those who follow the example you have in us.
Let's remember:
There is a level of understanding of the gospel where when we reach it, it is no longer possible to spend time in contradictions. Faith creates barriers that transform even our thinking to the point of ignoring matters not essential to the interest of Christ. People who model faith know how to make concessions that move them forward. They do not dwell on trivialities that waste our time and set back the work of God. Let us be focused on the model of Christ and on all those who came before us, who fought the good fight of faith. Among us, there are models of maturity who exercise their faith in humility without noise and without attracting people's attention. Let’s take them as models of maturity. Let us also learn to copy the good things that are visible in each of us. If there are contradictions, misunderstandings, let's make peace and chase away discord; make a clean slate for the sake of Christ. The little pettiness of wanting to tackle others in order to be better seen and drown out your neighbor only serves our selfishness. So, at the point where we have reached, let us walk in step. Let's be models of maturity who know how to solve problems. Let's tune our violins. Let's become mature. Let us look to Christ. Let's walk together. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
