Theme: “The Christian, model of maturity in society”
Text: 1 Corinthians 14:20
20. Brethren, be not children in judgment; but for malice be children, and in judgment be grown men.
Let's remember:
Ephesians 4:14 tells us to beware of false teachers of God's Word, "that we may no longer be children, floating about and carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the deceitfulness of men, by their cunning in the ways of seduction.” We must therefore make effective use of discernment with the help of the Holy Spirit. Let us not be like children who have a great deficit in judgment. Children have blind confidence; they suspect nothing of everything that can happen around them. They are innocent and incapable of harming others. They tell themselves that everyone is like them, incapable of doing harm. This is where criminals take advantage of our naivety, if not our imprudence, to teach us all kinds of bad things. Let us not be weak-minded like children. Let us not be inexperienced like children. Let's not be fooled like children. Let us not be maneuverable or malleable in the area of judgment, let us be like the Christians of Berea who “received the word with great eagerness, and they examined the Scriptures daily, to see if what was said to them was accurate and true » Acts 17:11. Let us be “Detectives” of God’s Word. Let us welcome the Word and then review it again to detect what is incorrect. Objectives: maturity, the stature of the fullness of Christ, to grow in all respects for the edification of the body of Christ. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
