6. Know this, that he who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully.
Let's remember:
The Lord Jesus had set the tone by saying: “Give, and it will be given to you, a good measure, well packed, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into the hem of your garment; for the measure which you use to measure will be used against you” (Luke 6:38). This sums up the secret that is hidden in the development challenge. Anyone who wants to develop must learn to give to others. To sow is to give to the earth. When we give several grains to the earth, in return, the earth makes the grains germinate a hundredfold. For one grain of corn, the earth can give us several ears comprising around forty grains each. If a grain of corn planted can generate a hundred grains, then let us remember that the challenge of development is best met by those who understand the law of the seed. It is by sowing bountifully that we reap bountifully. Solomon could say: “One gives liberally and his wealth increases, another saves excessively and finds himself in poverty. He who is generous will experience abundance; whoever gives water to others will himself be quenched.” (Proverbs 11:24,25). This same challenge of development can be based on liberality as it is written: Proverbs 19.17 “He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, who will reward him according to his work”. The seed has never been lost when it is practiced in a burst of love of God and neighbor. With simple words we can say that when we plant a seed, it brings development. It is risky not to plant because he who plants nothing, harvests nothing, will never develop. However, let's not sow bad things because they will turn against us. Proverbs 22:8. “He who sows iniquity will reap iniquity, and the rod of his wrath will disappear.” Have a great Saturday. Amen
