Theme: “The Christian faced with the challenge of development” Text: Hosea 10:12
12. Sow in justice, reap in mercy, clear a new field! It is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and pours out righteousness for you.
Let's remember:
Isaiah 55:6. “Seek the Lord while he is found; Invoke him, while he is near. 7. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the man of iniquity his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, who will have mercy on him, to our God, who never tires of forgiving”. Coming out of great distress, we do not have the right to sit back. Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. Let us set our faith in motion and activate the challenge of development buried within us. God has placed in us all the potentialities that would lead us to development. Let us take up this challenge with ardor and faith. Let us not forget that God has made available to us faith, intelligence through creative genius or ingenuity, wisdom, discernment, in short, humans have a capacity to create that they hold from the creator God. Let us call development by working boldly. Let's make this a major challenge as we lead the challenge of sanctification and the challenge of eternal life. Let's go there in lucidity and obedience to God so as not to put the cart before the horse. What good is this challenge of development if it is to end up in sin for having used devious ways? So let us sow in justice by respecting our neighbor but also by advocating a healthy development that bases its existence on love and justice. During the harvest, let's think about supporting the destitute who languish in a crucial lack. Let's support the helpless who can't even support themselves. Let us reap according to mercy because to grow without mercy results in greed, greed and autocracy. Let us cling to the Lord so that the challenge of development is under his blessing. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
