Theme: “The Christian, Equipped for Service”
Text: Acts 1:8
8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Let's remember:
Already, God has not chosen to equip us weakly. Knowing that our fight would be fierce, he equipped us with a real power called the Holy Spirit. He did not seek it elsewhere; he drew it from his own bosom, he took a part of himself; he gave of himself so that our service would be efficient. He couldn't rely on anyone other than himself. Thus, he took the initiative to come upon us in order to transform us from assistant to witness. As soon as the Holy Spirit invests us, our life changes, our apprehensions change, our priorities change; we become a new creature, the old things disappear and everything becomes new. This is where our heart beats for his work. This is where we rise up to do missionary work with valor. When the Holy Spirit inflames us with his fire, love and fear of God, we have no choice but to do service; to go and make disciples, baptizing them in his name. The Holy Spirit sets us on fire for service. There is no one who is filled with the Holy Spirit and who is not a witness of Jesus Christ. The service of doing useful work for our neighbor is supported by the Holy Spirit who burns our hearts with the desire to testify to the veracity of the work of Christ. When you reach this cape, there is no longer any geographical limit; we go everywhere to announce the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ Christ. However, the service must begin in Jerusalem (home). At home yes, but first yourself then our own house before going anywhere. Let us take advantage of technologies to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
