Theme : “The Christian, Equipped for Service” Text : Exodus 35:30-35
30. Moses said to the children of Israel: Know that the LORD has chosen Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31. He filled him with the Spirit of God, wisdom, understanding, and knowledge for all kinds of works. 32. He enabled him to make inventions, to work gold, silver and brass, 33. to engrave stones to be set, to work wood, and to execute all kinds of works of art. 34. He also granted him the gift of teaching, as well as on Oholiab, son of Ahisamac, of the tribe of Dan. 35. He filled them with intelligence, to execute all the works of sculpture and art, to embroider and weave the fabrics dyed in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and the fine linen, to do all kinds of works and of inventions.
Let's remember :
In some people, God puts a higher spirit in intelligence for a given mission. These people are set apart for the service of others. God acts in this way to solve the problems that arise in our daily lives. We often have challenges that require in-depth study and appropriate solutions capable of solving them. This is how God equips people of all kinds of intelligence to work out solutions that will make people happy. Generally speaking, God equips any person, regardless of their faith. Nevertheless, specifically God equips with the Holy Spirit every Christian who agrees to give his life to Him. The Christian bears a mark that distinguishes him from other non-Christian people. This is how the Christian receives inspiration from God to set up inventions of all kinds. Creative genius is a gift from God, a grace that everyone receives according to the deposit willed by God. According to the needs of each community, God chooses people whom he entrusts with his spirit, people whom he equips with intelligence in order to render service to the people of God. It is for this reason that God fills Bezaleel with his Spirit of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge for all kinds of works. God enabled him to make inventions, to work gold, silver and brass, to engrave stones for setting, to work wood, and to execute all kinds of works of art. God also granted him the gift of teaching, just as he also granted it to Oholiab. God makes each person equipped in his own way and for distinct service. Excellent Pentecost Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
