Let us remember:
There are fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen generations from David until the deportation to Babylon. We see that Jesus is humanly descended from a genealogy of good and bad people. He came out of a royal line with good kings, memorable people like Abraham, David, Hezekiah, Josiah. However there are in the same line of the disagreeable kings like Joram, Ahaz, Manasseh. Jesus came out of a genealogy of immoral immoral women like Thamar, Rahab. There is also a foreign Moabite Ruth. Let us not forget Bath Sheba the mother of Solomon, wife of Uriah the courageous and conscious warrior; whom David had killed in war to take his wife. Jesus was not born into a family of saints. His glory does not come from men but from what he was in himself, come from heaven to bring grace and truth. If not it would have been said that he is powerful like his father Abraham, David, simple fallible and mortal men. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
