Theme : “ Stewardship in the Church ”
Text : Mark 13:33-37
33. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when that time will come. 34. It will be like a man who, setting out on a journey, leaves his house, gives authority to his servants, indicates to each his duty, and orders the porter to watch. 35. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house will come, either in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or at cockcrow, or in the morning; 36. Fear he will find you asleep, at his sudden arrival. 37. What I say to you, I say to all: Watch.
Let's remember:
How will the master of the house find us? How will we be when he returns? What will he find when he returns about his home? Popular wisdom says: "The cat out, the mice dance"; are we those who dance when we have a space of freedom? In reality, he who has respect for his God, also has respect for his neighbour; was he head of the house or other friend / stranger. Everything that we do not allow ourselves to do in front of the master of the house, must not be done in his absence too. Respect is continuous, repetitive, non-selective, timeless and perpetual. Who did we let into the boss's house while he was away? Jesus left us the mission of managing the Church and watching over creation. Each of us has the duty to maintain them, to save them from ignominy and bad governance. Let us preserve the Church of God from the ravening wolves which could infiltrate the fold to decimate the peaceful flock of God. Our body, the temple of the Spirit, must also be well guarded against sin. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
