Theme : “ Stewardship in the Church Text : Luke 19:11-13

11. They were listening to these things, and Jesus added a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and it was believed that the kingdom of God was about to appear. 12. He therefore said: A man of high birth went to a distant land, to be invested with royal authority, and then to return. 13. He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas, and said unto them, Make them worthy till I return.

Let's remember:

To speak of stewardship is to make an incursion into stewardship, administration, accounting, direction, management or even questorship or governance. These synonymous words converge towards the management of the material and accessory needs of a structure. In the Church of God or in our families, good management is essential. However, many believe that stewardship only concerns the military or state administrations. But God in his love, through his Son Jesus Christ had already taught us the necessity of good stewardship. When a leader wants to move even for an hour, he must bequeath the responsibilities to a deputy so as not to block the structure. This is what leadership hierarchy is for; to avoid vacuum. We know that nature abhors a vacuum; because where there is emptiness, there will necessarily be improvisation. It was therefore to avoid improvisation, resourcefulness and the unexpected that stewardship was created. Some people do not like to bequeath responsibilities in order to hide their incompetence since the replacement can manage better than the main leader. Even spiritual gifts require good stewardship. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
