Theme : " Stand where you are "
Text : 1 Kings 17: 1-6
1. Elijah the Tashbite, one of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, The LORD liveth, the God of Israel, whose servant I am. there will be neither dew nor rain in these years, except at my word. 2. And the word of the LORD came unto Elijah, saying, 3. Depart hence, go eastward, and hide thyself by the brook of Kerith, which is opposite the Jordan. 4. You will drink from the stream, and I have ordered the crows to feed you there. 5. And he departed, and did according to the word of the LORD, and went and dwelled by the brook of Kerith, which is opposite the Jordan. 6. The crows brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank water from the brook.
Let us remember :
Many of us are not where God wants them to be. And if they are, many are not standing. Either they wander far from the face of God; either they are lying down or distracted. We ask God to carry out his will at the same time as we fight to impose our own. The Lord is willing to take possession of our challenges; He wants to explode his glory; He wants to confirm our statements made in his Name, so let's give him time to unfold his plan and his will. No man can drag God in the paths of his whims because it is He who is Lord and we are his subjects. Instead of wasting our time and that of ours in wanting to part with the sovereignty of God; rather, let God nourish us with the heavenly provision. In his bakery, the bread never ends; and its distributors, the crows, will find our hiding place; they will drop off our meal on time. Let us just stand where God asks us to be and listen to his voice. Excellent obedience Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
