Theme : " Spiritual ignorance "
Text : Isaiah 59: 1-4
1. No, the hand of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too hard to hear. 2. But it is your crimes that put a separation Between you and your God; It is your sins that hide his face from you And prevent him from listening to you. 3. For your hands are polluted with blood, and your fingers with crimes; Your lips speak falsehood, Your tongue utters iniquity. 4. No one complains with justice, No one pleads with righteousness; They lean on vain things and speak falsehoods, They conceive of evil and give birth to crime.
Let us remember :
Ignorance is a danger that every man should avoid according to popular wisdom. It is also said in the jargon of justice; Nobody is supposed to ignore the law. However, the Christian attributes his failures to sorcerers, demons, detractors, jealous people… We do not know that if the hand of the Lord does not manage to save us; if his ear can't hear us, it's our own fault. Let us stop with the loopholes which accuse the innocent of being at the origin of our failures. Our rebellion makes God inoperative in our life. We have built a giant wall made of sins and crimes. We have erected the wall of separation that prevents God from saving us and hearing us. God does not like to see us in sin. Sin takes us away from God and prevents him from visiting us. To refuse this reality is to be in spiritual ignorance; which is fatal. Let us clean our soiled hands with the best detergent of the blood of Jesus so that the hand of God will save us and his ear will hear us. Let us come out of spiritual ignorance. Wonderful Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
