Theme : " Spiritual desires " Text : Galatians 5: 16-17
16. I said therefore, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh. 17. For the flesh desires contrary to those of the Spirit, and the Spirit desires contrary to those of the flesh; they are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.
Let us remember :
Many make the point of obeying the flesh easily than the Spirit. Well, yes the flesh pulls us down so we don't do what God wants. The sin that inhabits our body wants to tame it. This is why it is necessary to drive it out by the force of the Spirit of God and to indulge in spiritual desires. Paul said to Romans 7: “What is good, I know, does not live in me, that is to say in my flesh: I have the will, but not the power to do good. Because I don't do the good that I want, and I do the bad that I don't want. And if I do what I don't want, it's no longer me doing it, it's sin that dwells in me. So I find within myself this law: when I want to do good, evil is attached to me. For I take pleasure in the law of God, according to the inner man. Let us yearn for spiritual desires with all our strength and the Spirit will help us. Let us discern our actions, words, thoughts. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
