Theme: “Seek to please the Lord our God» Text: Ephesians 5:8-17 8. Once you were darkness, and now you are light in the Lord. Walk like children of light! 9. For the fruit of light consists of every kind of goodness, justice and truth. 10. Examine what is pleasing to the Lord; 11. and take no part in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather condemn them. 12. For it is shameful to tell what they do in secret; 13. But whatever is condemned is manifested by light, for whatever is manifested is light. 14. Wherefore it is said: Awake, thou that sleepest, arise from the dead, and Christ will give light to thee. 15. Take heed, then, to behave circumspectly, not like fools, but like wise men; 16. redeem the time, for the days are evil. 17. Therefore do not be thoughtless, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Remember: Pleasing God marks the change from darkness to light in the Lord; walking like children of light. We must change the course of our spiritual life by leaving and condemning the fruitless works of darkness. Instead, we must emphasize goodness, justice, truth, love, the fear of God. Pleasing God consists in constantly reading his Word, putting it into practice without forgetting to propagate it. This is how we will understand what is pleasing to the Lord through rigorous discernment and without confusion or confusion. We must stay awake so that we do not fall into the sleep of sin. As long as we keep the state of spiritual awakening, we will not be the devil's playground; our flesh will not drag us through the mud because our spirit will resist evil. This will help us to live in an attitude of prudent restraint, also called circumspection. When an act is shameful to do, it must be banished because it is far from the will of God. Whoever wants to please God must redeem the time because the days are bad. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
