Theme: “Seek to please the Lord our God"
Text: Ephesians 2:9-13
9. Not by works, lest any man boast. 10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should do them. 11. Wherefore, ye formerly heathen in the flesh, called uncircumcised by those who are called circumcised, and who are so in the flesh by the hand of man, 12. remember that ye were at that time- there without Christ, disenfranchised in Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13. But now, in Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Remember:
God has done a favor for all mankind to enjoy the new birth available in Jesus Christ. Simply believe in his work and bring his life before the Father so that he sanctifies it and; finally follow all his instructions on a daily basis. Jesus' sacrifice places each person as eligible on the list of saved souls. This is not a merit. Our faith would not be enough to justify salvation because the demons also believe it, and yet they tremble [James 2:19]. Our Father had already loved the world and had given his only begotten Son for the sake of those who believed in him. This is why we must work to please our God in order to continue to live out his plan for the salvation of mankind. Let us do our part that the Lord expects, that which consists in remaining in the presence of God, to do His will unceasingly. We are no longer strangers or uncircumcised before God; we are no longer without hope or without citizenship. In Jesus, God granted us these favors in order to enable us to appear before Him spotless. Let us perpetuate our love by remaining obedient to God in order to please Him. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
