Seek to please the Lord our God

Theme: “Seek to please the Lord our God" Text: Galatians 1:9-10

9. We have said it before, and I repeat it now: if anyone announces to you a different Gospel than the one you have received, let him be anathema! 10. And now, is it the favor of men that I desire, or that of God? Am I trying to please men? If I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Let's remember:

Paul's apostolate did not come from Judas with whom he was lodged; nor of Ananias who laid hands on him when he was blinded; nor any other man. His apostolate is a vocation received from Jesus Christ during his encounter on the road to Damascus. This is why Paul was not working to please men but God who had called him into his harvest. Each priesthood responds to a call from God; it is important that the worker does everything to please his "sponsor". For all work done on earth, we will give an account to God because it is He who sends us on mission and who awaits the result of our work. If we have such an understanding of life, then let us go out of our way to please God. But how can we please God if we don't love our neighbour? Here is another aspect that should not be neglected if we want to please God. Pleasing God is not the equivalent of neglecting men. The only thing that must be avoided is to work to please only men without taking into account God, the owner of the mission. In wanting to please men, some have fallen into compromises from which they can no longer get away. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
