Seek to please the Lord our God

Monday, October 24, 2022

Theme: “Seek to please the Lord our God" Text: Psalms 69:30-32

30. (69:31) I will praise the name of God with hymns, I will exalt it with praises. 31. (69:32) This is more pleasing to the Lord than a bull With horns and hooves. 32. (69:33) The unfortunate see it and rejoice; You who seek God, let your heart live!

Remember:

To seek to please the Lord our God is to take the trouble to please Him by abandoning what He does not love. It is to provide Him with a satisfaction that will seal the good agreement. To please the Lord is to walk the path He has traced without turning aside either to the left or to the right. To please the Lord is to enroll on his road map which would like us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our strength and with all our mind; and to love our neighbor as ourselves. In this notion of pleasing the Lord, there is the need to surpass oneself, to forget oneself and to put the will of God in the foreground. There is the obligation to put the interest of God upstream and ours muted. Anyone who wants to please the Lord must awaken their love for Him more than for any other person/thing. We must keep the scoop and the exclusivity of our desires centered on his person. The heart of one who seeks to please the Lord must beat to the rhythm of his love for God, and he ceaselessly sings his praises and manifests his admiration for God. It's like stepping into a pure celestial atmosphere and locking yourself in it. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
