Theme: “Seek the presence of the coming King"

Text: Zechariah 9:9-12

9. Rejoice, daughter of Sion! Shout for joy, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king comes to you; He is righteous and victorious, He is humble and riding on a donkey, On a donkey, the colt of a donkey. 10. I will destroy the chariots of Ephraim, and the horses of Jerusalem; And the war bows will be annihilated. He will proclaim peace to the nations, And he will rule from sea to sea, From the river to the ends of the earth. 11. And for you, because of your blood-sealed covenant, I will take your captives out of the pit where there is no water. 12. Return to the fortress, captives full of hope! Today again I declare it, I will return to you the double.

Remember:

When the manifest presence of Jesus will be effective; he will remove the war from Ephraim and Jerusalem (Micah 5:10-11); it will give way to justice and peace. Both of these characteristics will be displayed by Jesus Christ. Also, we will notice the great enlargement of the reign of our Lord which will extend from one sea to another. His dominance will be felt all over the world. The universe will then know who the King of glory is; the one who laid the foundations of the earth. During this reign, the overcomers who have kept their white garments well maintained will rejoice with Christ. He will call them to celebrate justice and peace with shouts of joy. The daughter of Jerusalem will see her king going to her. The King is described as just and victorious, He is humble and riding on a donkey, On a donkey, the colt of a donkey. John 12:15 takes up this wonderful passage from Zechariah to give volume to this referential event so that each of us seeks the presence of the coming King. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
