Theme: “Respect for the word of God: Source of blessing for families”
Text: Ephesians 4:29-30
29. Let no evil word come out of your mouth, but, if necessary, some good word, which serves for edification and communicates grace to those who hear it. 30. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you have been sealed for the day of redemption.
Let's remember:
The choice of topics to address during our talks is essential. Many words do not contribute to the blessing of our families. Rather, they distance us from our God. This is why let us make the effort to say good words of exhortation, comfort, praise, faith, love, adoration, in short, words full of charm, those which bring joy to God. Empty words delight the devil and his demons. They feed on foolish talk that contributes to perversion and all kinds of depravity. It is obvious that if we come together around the word of God, we will be less and less subject to evil words. There are themes that are not bad because they are part of everyday family life. Let us approach them with decency and without losing sight of our role as salt of the earth and light of the world. Let us have mastery of our tongue to say only what is true, what is honorable, what is just, what is pure, what is lovely, what is worthy of approval, what is virtuous and worthy of praise. . Let us take more time in mutual exhortation and edification. Let us share biblical truths and value the time that God grants us in this world in order to put it to better use. Vain words will destroy the blessings of our families because they grieve the Holy Spirit of God. If we abide in the sound word of God, taking the time to nourish ourselves and live by it, our families will be blessed. Have a great Thursday. AmenAlain Louz.-
