Theme : " Renouncing Evil "
Text : Matthew 23:16-17
16. Woe to you, blind drivers! who say: If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing; but, if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound. 17. Foolish and blind! which is greater, gold, or the temple that sanctifies gold?
Let's remember:
Let every Christian stop giving glory to creatures, to physical matter. God is the Creator of everything; glory is due to Him alone. It is not good to divert the honor of God towards a material like gold. The Lord challenges us to abandon this evil; it is an imposture if not proven ignorance or sacrilege. If we continue to maintain such attitudes, we will perish and take those around us with us. Let's not protect our lies with swear words. We swear sometimes to want to impose our point of view so that our audience is influenced by this swear word. Jesus calls us blind because we do not see the evil that we commit by acting contrary to his will. Sometimes we see evil and its risks; in bad faith, we perpetuate it while encouraging others to do the same. Let us renounce evil and God will bless our days. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
