Theme: “Reconciliation: Source of Material and Spiritual Blessings for a Church" Text: Ephesians 2:16-18 16. and to reconcile them, both in one body, to God by the cross, thereby destroying enmity. 17. He came to proclaim peace to you who were far off, and peace to those who were near; 18. For through him we both have access to the Father in one Spirit. Remember: God's choice fell on Israel, which he established as the Chosen People. Israel had several special laws and provisions that were not seen anywhere else in the world. God was their guide and their heritage. Through Jesus Christ, other formerly pagan nations have been brought back to the same level as the Jewish people. This is why there are no longer any Jews, or pagans, or free, or slaves, or rich, or poor, but we have all become one in Jesus Christ. We have the same rights and duties, we have access to the same miracles and the same salvation. The wall of separation had fallen, making Jesus the link between God and man. Jesus is the reconciler of the creature with his Creator. It imprints peace in the heart of those who receive it and move forward with it. Listening to the Word of God and having enemies or disagreements is not at all compatible with the Christian life. The Word of God reconciles us with God and with our neighbor because it is a Word of peace and love. The cross symbolizes the reconciliation of God with his people but also each with his neighbour: vertical and horizontal. The Church is blessed when it is reconciled with God, and the members among themselves. Excellent Tuesday of reconciliation. Amen Alain Louz.-
