Theme : " Pay your debts, you will make yourself a lever for enrichment "
Text : Deuteronomy 23: 19-20
19. Thou shalt not exact from thy brother any interest, neither for money, nor for food, nor for anything that lends itself to interest. 20. You may earn interest from abroad, but you shall not earn from your brother, that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you do in the land which you are going to inherit.
Let us remember :
All our transactions must be done with a lot of love for our neighbor. When love is associated with dealings, it will not be possible to take advantage of a person who is claimed to be helping. The lender should not demand any profit or any interest. The loan must remain interest-free in order for it to please God. In God's formula, one does not take advantage of a person who is short of provisions. When our neighbor is in difficulty, let us come to his aid without inflicting interest on him. If not, where is the love of the neighbor? What difference would there be from the pagans? On the contrary, let us unload these interests in the attic of God so that he amasses our wealth in his kingdom and that his directory of memories includes several pages of our good works. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen. Alain Louz.-
