Overcoming the worries of difficult times

Friday May 7, 2021

Theme : " Overcoming the worries of difficult times " Text : Matthew 6: 24-32

24. No one can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other; or he will cling to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 25. Therefore I say to you: Do not worry about your life what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will be clothed in. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26. Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap, neither do they gather anything in barns; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than them? 27. Who of you, by worrying, can add a cubit to his life span? 28. And why are you worried about clothing? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: they neither work nor spin; 29. Yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. 30. If God thus clothes the grass of the field, which exists today and which tomorrow will be cast into the oven, much more will he clothe you, you of little faith? 31. Therefore do not be anxious, and say not, What shall we eat? what will we drink? what will we be wearing? 32. For all these things the heathen seek. Your Heavenly Father knows you need it.

Let us remember:

Let's keep a cool head when we go through tough times. There is no need to worry or cry over our fate. No worry can solve a problem while prayer can. The reaction, par excellence, remains the expectation of help from God; let us wait in prayer with thanksgiving. We are valuable in the sight of God; for that, he will never be able to abandon us. Let us know that God knows everything, He sees everything, He is everywhere. This means that He is informed of the situation we are going through. He has already foreseen the appropriate solution; it won't be long, just a little patience. He who dresses flowers in beauty; will clothe our lives with triumph and glory. Let not our faith be troubled, let us believe in God. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
