Theme: "My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit"
Text: John 14:16-18
16. And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. 18. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Let us remember:
The fun of a child of God is to possess the Spirit of truth within oneself. True happiness in life is to have near oneself a strong person who guides you, helps you, inspires you. A person who leads you in the paths of truth. Jesus is omniscient, he knows all our intentions, he knows what we will desire in ten years. By his love, he had made the great calculation, the great precaution of making the Holy Spirit available for our comfort. He knew that we would be orphans after his return to heaven. He took the form of the Holy Spirit to continue his work under another complementary dispensation. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit to undergo his consolation but also his instructions. We are supposed to keep his commandments. Let us not only take his consolation, let us also keep his prescriptions. Let us not be like the world which cannot receive the Spirit of truth. The temple must breathe the truth. The temple must be obedient. The temple serves the glory of God. The temple is not stubborn or rebellious. The Spirit of God must be at ease while he accompanies us. Amos 3:3 says “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Let us be in the odor of holiness with the Spirit of God that we lodge in us.
