May your faith be unshakeable

Wednesday October 18, 2023

Theme: “May your faith be unshakeable Text: Psalms 125

1. Canticle of degrees. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion: it does not move, it is established forever. 2. Mountains surround Jerusalem; So the LORD surrounds his people, from now on and forever. 3. For the scepter of wickedness shall not remain in the lot of the righteous, Lest the righteous stretch out their hands to iniquity. 4. O LORD, pour out your blessings on the good and on those whose hearts are upright! 5. But those who turn devious ways, may the LORD destroy them with those who do evil. Peace be upon Israel!

Let's remember:

Our faith must never waver; it must not pitch. By investing our faith in God, we must have the assurance that this God cannot abandon us. Even when visible circumstances show the opposite of what we ask, let us firmly believe that the Lord will say his last word in our favor. Humans know how to give good things to their children at the right time. We hate seeing a child damage a precious, expensive gift. It’s just as much as God only hears us at the right time, when he feels that we have the wisdom to better manage our gift. While waiting for God's answer, our faith must be unwavering. Let us know that God is sovereign and cannot be influenced by our childish whims. Our faith must be firm like Mount Zion which does not move: but it must be established forever. Those who do not believe in God are like dead leaves without faith, they go where the wind carries them without their will and without reward. They are unstable and itinerant like dead leaves. The Lord God surrounds his people to secure them; likewise, he reassures us every day so that our faith remains unshakeable. God always hears us in due time so that we do not give attention to the evil one. He knows that if we remain without a response from him; we will pervert ourselves because we will become like a people without God, abandoned to their sad fate. Have a great Wednesday.
