Saturday July 17, 2021 Theme : " Lord, help my unbelief " Text : 1 Timothy 1: 12-15
12. I give thanks to him who strengthened me, to Jesus Christ our Lord, that he has judged me faithful. 13. In establishing myself in the ministry, I who was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, a violent man. But I got mercy, because I acted out of ignorance, in unbelief; 14. and the grace of our Lord abounded, together with the faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15. It is a sure word, and entirely worthy of being received, that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first.
Let us remember :
Sin can be committed in ignorance; however, it can also be done knowingly. Sometimes we plan to commit a sin. Some sins are committed when the Holy Spirit cries out to tell our spirit to refrain from it. Such sins are blasphemy because it is the expression of the denial of the voice of God. Paul wanted to commit other sins and when he heard the voice of Jesus on the road to Damascus; he gave up everything and dedicated himself to the work of God. Our unbelief is not to last forever; we have to stop and listen to reason; let us follow the voice of the Spirit. Let us enjoy the grace of God as it overflows and make the choice to follow Jesus. Let us leave unbelief because it destroys our salvation. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
