Theme : " Living the Protestant ethic in our families "
Text : Deuteronomy 4:39-40
39. Know therefore this day, and keep in your heart that the LORD is God, in heaven above and on earth below, and that there is no other. 40. And observe his statutes and his commandments which I command you this day, that you may be happy, you and your children after you, and henceforth you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. .
Let's remember:
To sum up this week's theme; Without mistaking me, the Protestant ethic was a kind of replica of the early post-Pentecostal church. There was everything that brought faith back to obedience to God, to love of neighbour, solidarity, spiritual gifts, biblical sacraments, in short, everything was well organized within the families of Protestant ethics; and their congregations. Under this ethic, each family does violence to itself so as not to lose sight of the fact that only the Eternal is God and that there is no other. This biblical truth is transmitted from generation to generation without interruption. It was a shame to have a rebellious member to God within the family of Protestant ethics. At death, the parents bequeathed God as a heritage not to be lost. They left their children in the hands of God. These things that tend to disappear must be restored in order to restore the image of the Protestant ethic. Let's teach the Protestant ethic so that families live it and perpetuate it. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
