Theme: “Live your youth in sanctification"
Text: 1 Peter 5:5-7
5. Likewise, you who are young, be subject to the elders. And all of you, in your mutual relations, put on humility; for God resists the proud, but he is gracious to the humble. 6. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may lift you up in due season; 7. and unload all your worries on him, because he himself takes care of you.
Let's remember:
Young people must excel in humility. Each young person must feel the feeling of his own insufficiency which pushes to repress any movement of pride. He must develop a humble, modest character. We must perceive submission in each young person: submission to God, to parents, to superiors, to authorities, to leaders. Submission is not an expression of weakness. The people to whom we are submissive should not take advantage of muzzling young people. Submission is not enslavement, far from it. Even in submission, the young person must be free to speak and offer his opinion. What God refuses is the pride of not recognizing others as superior or elevated, or even established in a given role. Young people must put on humility like a garment because God resists the proud, but he is gracious to the humble. Everyone must humble himself under the mighty hand of God, so that he raises him up in due time by placing him on a pedestal. Everyone must eliminate pride which is an obstacle to sanctification. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
