Theme: “Live your youth in sanctification"
Text: Daniel 1:8-9
8. Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the food of the king and with the wine the king drank, and he begged the chief eunuch not to force him to defile himself. 9. God caused Daniel to find favor and favor before the chief eunuch.
Remember:
To live one's youth in sanctification means to spend the days of one's life as a young girl or boy in consecration to God, refusing sin, by the grace of God. It is therefore to lead a life of fear of the Lord, a life of obedience to God, a life without compromise. It is impossible to lead this life of sanctification without self-sacrifice and without the help of God. The impulses of youth are so strong that we must hope in Yahweh to encourage us when we are exhausted by the pressure of this world and its flesh. Daniel took the resolution not to defile himself like the other young people. He knew it would please God and in turn, God would come to help him. Wanting to lead a life of sanctification by relying on personal effort is suicide because sanctification is already relying on the Lord God. The priority of youth is to flourish, to make the most of life with boundless energy. But Daniel had privileged sanctification. Far from his country, Daniel could defile himself, but he took care not to do so. It is often far from the family that we take advantage of defiling ourselves, neither seen nor known. Daniel had refused to defile himself. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
