Theme: "Let your actions be in accordance with the Word of God"
Text: Leviticus 20:23
23. You shall not follow the customs of the nations that I am going to drive out before you; for they have done all these things, and I abhor them.
Let us remember:
Our actions must be in accordance with the instructions coming from God. We are forbidden to copy the way of acting of pagan nations. The disciple must not live in accordance with the lifestyle of this century. He must not follow modernism blindly without analyzing the ins and outs. Our world is full of beliefs that can distance us from the face of God. Whatever the devil makes us believe; let us keep in mind that he is trying to trap us in order to destroy us and accuse us to the Father. Let us not go towards philosophies that could lead us astray. Let us reject the practices related to mystical lodges, let us not worship idols, let us not run after money, glory, success, power, domination, authority. Let us not evoke the spirits of the dead, let us not pray in cemeteries, let us not speak to the dead, let us not take the elements of nature for gods; they cannot save us. Let us avoid religious syncretism, let us not worship humans, let us not worship angels either. Let us worship only God to avoid resembling pagan peoples. Now, let us fear God, and serve him with integrity and fidelity. Let us make the false gods that our ancestors served disappear. 2 Corinthians 6:17 tells us: "Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." Let us cut the bad connections. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
