Topic: “Let us test all things for the glory of God”
Text: Matthew 24:3-13
3. And he sat down on the Mount of Olives. And the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age? 4. Jesus answered them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass; but the end is not yet. 7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8. All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9. Then they will deliver you up to be tormented and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. 10. Then many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11. Many false prophets will arise and deceive many. 12. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Remember:
If we must examine all things, it is not to look for flaws that will justify our errors. Rather, we do it so as not to miss hidden revelations and to ferret out misinterpretations. It also gives us a lot of time in biblical communion with God. This is another way to avoid spiritual malnutrition. This is so as not to miss the appointment of the rapture because if we examine the Word of God, we will understand what are the true signs of the coming of the Son of Man compared to the false alerts issued here and there. There have been announcements of the return of Jesus for the year 2000, Failure! But the examiners of the Word of God know that several accomplishments must precede this return, such as seduction. Many will come under his name, proclaiming themselves the Christ. And they will seduce many people. This is not enough. Wars and rumors of war must not trouble us because it is in the protocol of his coming. This is not enough. Conflicts between nations, earthquakes, famine and even drought. This will only be the beginning of the pains. Persecution, contempt, murders of Christians for their faith, the unleashing of hatred, tribalism, hypocrisy, selfishness, abominations, false prophets will arise, and they will seduce many people, iniquity will have increased. Let us examine carefully. Excellent Thursday. Amen.
