Theme: "Let us prepare the way of the Lord"
Text: Malachi 3:1
1. Behold, I will send my messenger; He will prepare the way before me. And suddenly the Lord whom you seek will come to his temple; And the messenger of the covenant whom you desire, behold, he comes, says the Lord of hosts.
Let us remember:
The path by which the Lord passes is a somewhat special path. It is an extraordinary path. An almost invisible path and yet it is the precursor of all the preparation inherent in his coming. This path is the heart combined with thoughts and actions. Let us prepare the way of the Lord. Let us become the messengers who would announce this coming of the Lord. God has already touched our hearts and our thoughts, in our turn, let us touch the hearts and thoughts of our contemporaries. Let us not wait for another messenger because Elijah had already come under the condition of John the Baptist, it was Jesus who said it on the day of his transfiguration on the mountain. He was answering the question asked of him as to whether another messenger would come. Matthew 17:11. “And he answered, Elijah truly shall come, and restore all things. 12. But I say unto you, That Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they pleased: even so shall the Son of man suffer of them.” Also in Matthew 11:13-14, Jesus said, “For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John: if ye will accept him, this is the Elijah which was to come.” So let us know that this message is for us today. Let us arise and go bring the good news of salvation to those who need it. There are still many who are waiting for God's visitation. Let us not forget them, if we get moving, we will certainly flush them out. Let us prepare the way of the Lord. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
