Theme : " Let us give thanks to the Lord for the year that is ending "
Text : Psalms 103: 1-2
1. From David. My soul, bless the Lord! May all that is in me bless his holy name! 2. My soul, bless the Lord, and do not forget any of his favors.
Let us remember:
David could speak to his soul to ask him to desire the best things in life. This is how he told his soul to bless the Lord. It didn't stop just at the soul. David asked all parts of his life to bless the holy name of God. He insisted so much that he did not want his soul to forget a single one of God's blessings. Our intelligence can forget the blessings of God. Day after day, we experience the blessings of God. There are a lot of them. It is very easy for our memory not to remember many blessings of God. On the strength of this, David prefers to address the most spiritual, the most sensitive part of our being to do this work of recognition. May our soul add up the benefits of God; and may thus bless God our benefactor. On the last day, it is our soul that will be judged for all its ingratitudes. It's time to lead a holy life. Happy new year 2022 under the powerful protection of God. Amen Alain Louz.-
