Theme: “Let us examine everything in order to retain what is good for the uplifting of the Church Text: Galatians 6:4-10

4. Let each examine his own works, and then he will have reason to boast for himself alone, and not in relation to others; 5. for each will bear his own burden. 6. Let him who is taught the word share all his goods with him who teaches it. 7. Make no mistake: God is not being mocked. What a man sows, he will also reap. 8. He who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh; but he who sows to the Spirit will reap from the Spirit eternal life. 9. Do not weary of doing good; for we will reap in due time if we do not slack off. 10. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, and especially to the brethren in faith.

Let's remember:

We must examine everything in order to retain what is good for the uplifting of the Church. Indeed, the uplifting of the Church depends on our uplifting. It is the combination of the raisings of several faithful which creates the change within the Church. We know that the Church is the body of Christ and that it is made up of the members that we are. The first step is to observe yourself, to look at yourself. It is a question here of making a permanent diagnosis of one's own life. Each member must look at his action within the Church to know if it constitutes an added value for God and for the Church but also for his neighbour. However, it is deplorable that we spend much more time judging others instead of improving ourselves. We accumulate fault after fault without amending ourselves; while we speak of the faults of others. Let us first remove the beam that obscures our vision before removing the straw from our neighbour. We cannot see things well, our observation will never be right as long as we have a beam in our eye. To examine things better and succeed in retaining what is good, one must have a clear and unobstructed view. Let us treat our gaze carefully in order to improve our field of vision. Let each member bear their own burden for we must individually justify ourselves before God. Let us examine ourselves if we are not sowing for the flesh so that our work becomes vain and empty. Let us examine whether we are doing the good that contributes to the advancement of the Church. Examine ourselves if we are mocking God. If our introspection reveals sins, let us forsake them and serve God in faithfulness so that the Church may move forward. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
