Theme : “Let us examine all things and retain what is pleasing to God in his Church Text : Ephesians 5:3-11

3. Let not fornication, any kind of impurity, and covetousness even be named among you, as befits saints. 4. Do not hear dishonest words, foolish talk, or jokes, things that are contrary to propriety; let us rather hear thanksgiving. 5. For know it well, no fornicator, or impure, or greedy, that is to say, idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6. Let no one deceive you with empty talk; for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7. So have no part with them. 8. Once you were darkness, and now you are light in the Lord. Walk like children of light! 9. For the fruit of light consists of every kind of goodness, justice and truth. 10. Examine what is pleasing to the Lord; 11. and take no part in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather condemn them.

Let's remember:

Once we were darkness, now we are light in the Lord. Let us walk like children of light. By having accepted to follow Jesus on the path of salvation, we can no longer mix the works of light with those of darkness. From now on, we must condemn them and no longer take part in anything that debases God and his Church. Being the temple of God and members of the body of Christ, we must do violence to drive out from our midst fornication, impurity, greed, dishonest words, foolish talk, jokes... Our Lord the Eternal prefers hear rather thanksgiving and not what is contrary to propriety. Only those will enter the holy kingdom who have put off the chaotic works of darkness and have put on the fruit of light which consists of every kind of goodness, justice and truth; people who examine what is pleasing to the Lord. So let us walk as children of light. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
