Let us examine all things and retain what is pleasing to God in his Church

Saturday March 5, 2022

Theme : “ Let us examine all things and retain what is pleasing to God in his Church Text : Galatians 5:13-16

13. Brothers, you have been called to freedom, only do not make of this freedom an excuse to live according to the flesh; but make yourselves, through charity, servants to one another. 14. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 15. But if you bite and devour each other, beware lest you be destroyed by each other. 16. I say therefore: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

Let's remember:

Freedom is a great trap for anyone who fails to tame it to better manage it. By it, we can carry out any kind of activity sometimes without taking into account the freedom of others. It is easy to pass from freedom to licentiousness because the border is very fine and almost imperceptible. Let's take the good side of freedom which is to separate oneself from the pagan life. Let us have the freedom to love Jesus and his work on the cross. Let us have the freedom to do things pleasing to the Lord. This is how we will tame freedom and we will contain it within our bosom without it leading us to evil. It is by freedom that we choose to love our neighbor, and that we choose to walk in the Spirit. Through it we refuse to fulfill the desires of the flesh. He who is not free is a slave to everything. Let us choose the freedom which is pleasing to God; that of loving God and neighbor. Let's not be libertines. Let us refute the freedom to destroy our neighbour. Let us freely love our neighbor since Jesus made us free to love him first and then to love our neighbor. Long live freedom in Christ. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
