Theme : “ Let us examine all things and retain what is pleasing to God in his Church ”
Text : 1 Thessalonians 5:18-22
18. In all things give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 19. Do not quench the Spirit. 20. Do not despise prophecies. 21. But examine all things; retain what is good; 22. Abstain from all kinds of evil.
Let's remember:
Our life, like our faith, should not be a catch-all. Do not collect useless information that will come to enslave us. Our strainer should not have too large meshes at the risk of passing unwanted things. We are taught to go through each circumstance with a fine-tooth comb to detect impurities and succeed in dissociating them. Let us make it a habit to give thanks in all things. All circumstances are good for giving thanks. Let us keep our spirits awake under the guidance of the Spirit of God. If we listen to the Spirit of God, we will make fewer mistakes because it will help us to separate right from wrong, good from bad. Even in the biblical teachings, let us be vigilant otherwise we will swallow lies and other heresies. Let us keep our minds alert and retain what is useful. Let us not quench the spirit of our neighbor by criticism, threats, malevolent glances. Excellent Tuesday and wonderful month of March. Amen Alain Louz.-
