Let's say no to perversion in the Church

Theme : " Let's say no to perversion in the Church " Text : Deuteronomy 22:22-29

22. If a man is found lying with a married woman, they will both die, the man who slept with the woman, and the woman too. You will thus remove evil from the midst of Israel. 23. If a virgin maiden be betrothed, and a man meet her in the city and lie with her, 24. you shall bring them both to the gate of the town, you shall stone them, and they shall die, the maiden for not shouting in the city, and the man for dishonoring his neighbor's wife. You will thus remove the evil from your midst. 25. But if it is in the fields that this man meets the young engaged woman, does violence to her and sleeps with her, the man who will have slept with her will be alone punished with death. 26. Thou shalt do nothing to the maiden; she is not guilty of a crime worthy of death, for this case is like that where a man throws himself on his neighbor and takes his life. 27. The betrothed girl, whom this man met in the fields, was able to scream without anyone to help her. 28. If a man meets an unbetrothed virgin girl, does violence to her and sleeps with her, and they come to be surprised, 29. the man who has slept with her will give the girl's father fifty shekels of 'silver; and, because he has dishonored her, he will take her to wife, and he cannot send her away, as long as he lives.

Let's remember:

Nowadays, it is difficult to find 20% families with virgin girls in their twenties. Parents and children no longer complain about it because it has unfortunately become commonplace. This is almost established as a tacit rule; the opposite has become the exception. Cases of rape are widespread in families, without anyone warning. Even veiled girls prefer to remain silent than to denounce their executioners. To preserve their honor, they prefer to carry pregnancies resulting from rape than to denounce these despicable acts. There are cases of incest which are legion in families. Besides incest, there is also the phenomenon of bribing girls after rape to buy their silence. Rapes are publicized, sexual assaults are decried but very few rapists are imprisoned behind bars. During the engagement, abstinence disappeared for the greatest number. There is domestic violence followed by rape within marriages; more numerous than outside marriage. But it happens quietly since the women are silent to avoid being labeled rebellious women. We can paint several other pictures of phenomena marking perversion without obtaining an exhaustive list. Let's get out of perversion. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
