Theme : " Let's say no to perversion in the Church "
Text : 1 Corinthians 5:1-2
1. It is generally said that there is unchastity among you, and unchastity such as is not met with even among the heathen; so much so that one of you has his father's wife. 2. And you are puffed up! And you were not rather in affliction, so that he who committed this act might be taken away from among you!
Let's remember:
This passage tells us that the Church body of Jesus Christ is confused in that it is in the phase of its decline announced in 2 Peter 3:3 or 1 Timothy 4:1 or 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Several phenomena have invaded the body of Christ, in defiance of holiness. The depravity of morals is no longer to be sought among pagans but within Christian communities. And oddly, the shame has disappeared giving way to cheeks. Now people are shameless, unscrupulous. It is true that there are still those who proudly keep their faith, having been isolated but without flinching, they persevere in the walk with Christ; destination eternal life. Voluptuousness has unfortunately taken on volume even within the clergy, without distinction of congregation; both in traditional churches and in so-called revival churches. Despite the established perversion in some communities, people have taken the liberty of adding pride; as if that were not enough; they begin to weaken those who oppose these bad practices.
