Theme : " Let's say no to perversion in the Church " Text : 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

1. Moreover, brothers, since you have learned from us how you should behave and please God, and this is what you are doing, we pray and conjure you in the name of the Lord Jesus to walk in this regard from progress to progress. 2. You know, indeed, what precepts we have given you from the Lord Jesus. 3. What God wants is your sanctification; it is that you abstain from fornication; 4. that each of you should know how to possess his body in holiness and honesty, 5. without yielding yourselves to passionate lust, as do the pagans who do not know God; 6. That no man use treachery and covetousness towards his brother in business, because the Lord takes vengeance on all these things, as we have already told you and attested. 7. For God has not called us to impurity, but to sanctification. 8. He therefore who rejects these precepts does not reject a man, but God, who has also given you his Holy Spirit.

Let's remember:

There is a way to behave to escape the passions of the flesh and please God. We must have control of our body to draw the limits to never exceed. The Holy Spirit of God is indeed available to support us in this exercise. Let's not go too close to the border of sin at the risk of not getting out of it and getting stuck in the camp of the enemy. Let's not try to go and taste the desires of the flesh and then come back to serve God; it is infidelity. Let everyone rely on strength from God to resist when temptation comes. Let's not be a toy for the devil. Let us oppose him a categorical refusal when he dangles the pleasures of this world. Let us oppose him an end of not receiving; and he will go all confused. Let's keep our body in holiness, sanctification, honesty and whatever pleases God. Our lord is the just judge, he will punish those who commit fornication, passionate lust, fraud, greed...
